Grade 8 Field Trip
February 17, 2023
Dear Parent/Guardian,
On Thursday, June 15th the 8th grade classes will travel to Six Flags Great Adventure located in Jackson, NJ for a Physical Science Field Trip. We will leave the school at 8:30am and return to Upper School around 6:00pm. Students should come to school at normal times and report to their homerooms. Teachers will take attendance in homeroom and then gather in the cafeteria where we will load buses and depart for Six Flags at approximately 8:30am. Students may bring a small bag with them, but it is their responsibility. Students may bring their cell phones with them, but they should be used appropriately. Students may wish to bring money for souvenirs, but this money is their responsibility.
The cost of this trip is $135 per student, which covers busing, admission and a meal package. The meal package includes a meal (lunch), a snack, and unlimited drinks for the day. Students may bring extra money with them, but please keep in mind that Six Flags is now cashless and they will need to load cash onto a card.
To register, complete the attached permission slip, cut it off, place it in an envelope with your payment and return it to your child’s science teacher no later than Thursday March 30th. Payment can be by check made payable to EC Student Activities Fund OR may be made on the PaySchool Portal.
If you have any additional questions, please contact your child’s science teacher, Ms. Lorenc at [email protected]
Sincerely,
Melissa Lorenc
7th & 8th Grade Science Teacher
