Dear Parents/Guardians,
Your children are doing a great job in our “Google Classroom”.  They are participating, and they are following directions. I thank you for making sure that they are in the classroom too. Make sure they come to our meeting at 10:30 am. 

  I will send out the picture video/s for our class today. They look adorable.

  Make sure your children turn in all of their assignments by 10PM. They will not receive full credit if they don’t complete all of the assignments. Some assignments are still not being handed in.  If they aren’t, they will not receive any credit for them. All of the assignments need to be done. 

  If your child is absent, he/she needs to turn in the work when he/she returns. I will also allow your child some time to turn in their assignments.  This could be for a holiday or other reasons.  

  If your child is sick, please let me know, so I will give your child extra time to complete the assignments that he/she missed. I will also inform the nurse if he/she is absent.

Put on an Aladdin , hat, pajamas, or anything else. Sit on an Aladdin towel or blanket. Bring a flashlight. Read for 20 minutes.  Ask Alexa to play, Aladdin music, or use your own device.  This is optional.
              Then, share what you read with one of your parents/guardians. Ask the questions located in 

your “Independent Reading” folder. Use your “Before Reading, During Reading, and After Reading Questions”.  Then, create a beautiful picture of the  end  part of “Mrs. Piggle Wiggle Chapter 4” and “ Kids Book Read Aloud: “What if Everybody did That?”.

On the left side of your paper/poster, draw what happened at the end  of Chapter 4 in “Mrs. Piggle Wiggle”.  Color this in. On the right side of the paper/poster, draw a picture of what you learned in the story called “What if Everybody did That?!”. Color this in. Write a title on the top of each side of the paper. On the bottom of each picture, write three sentences about the story. Example: Write three sentences about the end of Chapter 4 in “Mrs. Piggle Wiggle”. In one of the sentences, write down what both stories have in common. Use a ruler to make the sentences straight and neat.  You can write in script if you want to. Then, on the right side, write three sentences about the story “What if Everybody did That ”. In one of the sentences, write down what both stories have in common. You can use stickers and other items to decorate your work. Be creative. Have fun! You can use any kind of paper to complete this activity. Be neat. You can write in script if you want to. This is an activity that is comparing both fictional and nonfictional texts This is what we are focusing on in reading and writing. Make sure to be creative. Use text evidence. If you didn’t listen to my recording for the end  of Chapter 4 for “Mrs. Piggle Wiggle “. Please make sure that you listen to it before you make your picture for the end of Chapter 4 for “Mrs. Piggle Wiggle”. 

This activity needs to be turned in by 10PM today. Have fun!

You can go outside and collect items that might be used in another picture. Glue them onto the picture. Write a title on the top. Write three sentences about some of your favorite parts that you liked in “Mrs. Piggle Wiggle” for Chapter 4. Your children are doing a great job in our “Google Classroom”.  They are participating, and they are following directions. I thank you for making sure that they are in the classroom too. Make sure they come to our meeting at 10:30 am.

  Make sure your children turn in all of their assignments by 10PM. They will not receive full credit if they don’t complete all of the assignments. Some assignments are still not being handed in.  If they aren’t, they will not receive any credit for them. All of the assignments need to be done. 

  If your child is absent, he/she needs to turn in the work when he/she returns. I will also allow your child some time to turn in their assignments.  This could be for a holiday or other reasons.

Put on a smoothie shirt, hat, pajamas, or anything else. It can be any kind of smoothie. Sit on a smoothie towel or blanket. Bring a flashlight. Read for 20 minutes.  Ask Alexa to play, bubble sounds, or use your own device.  This is optional.
              Then, share what you read with one of your parents/guardians. Ask the questions located in 

your “Independent Reading” folder. Use your “Before Reading, During Reading, and After Reading Questions”.  Then, create a beautiful picture of the  middle  part of “Mrs. Piggle Wiggle Chapter 4” and “ Kids Book Read Aloud: Hey, That’s my Monster!”.

On the left side of your paper/poster, draw what happened at the beginning  of Chapter 4 in “Mrs. Piggle Wiggle”.  Color this in. On the right side of the paper/poster, draw a picture of what you learned in the story called “Kids Book Read Aloud: Hey, That’s my Monster!”. Color this in. Write a title on the top of each side of the paper. On the bottom of each picture, write three sentences about the story. Example: Write three sentences about the middle of Chapter 4 in “Mrs. Piggle Wiggle”. In one of the sentences, write down what both stories have in common. Use a ruler to make the sentences straight and neat.  You can write in script if you want to. Listen to Professor Burger for Lesson 11.10. Then, complete 11. 10 in your “Things to Do List” in Think Central. Study for your math test. It is tomorrow. Review the lessons for 11.1-11.10. Go into IXL and complete some of the activities with stars for area and perimeter. 

Review the vocabulary words in your math book for Chapter 11. There are many assignments that haven’t been completed in Think Central. Go over them. If I sent you another activity to do that was similar to the other activity for the original lesson, please complete it. It is extra practice. 

 Listen to the “YouTube” videos called “Perimeter and Area of Your Name November 7, 2016” and “Area and Perimeter of Irregular ShapesMay 24, 2013”.

 

Then, make a picture  with your first name representing the area and perimeter. You don’t have to use graph paper. You can use regular paper, or you can make your own grid on a blank piece of paper to do the activity. If you don’t make the grid, use a ruler to measure each letter to represent it in inches. Tell me what the area and perimeter is for your name.  Send it to me by 10PM today. Send it to me at [email protected]. Listen to the videos more than once to help you complete this activity. Make sure to decorate your work. Color it in. Be creative. You can also make your name with lego pieces for area and perimeter.  This could be done instead of the picture. Each piece would be considered 1  square unit. It is up to you.

Dear Parents/Guardians,
Your children are doing a great job in our “Google Classroom”.  They are participating, and they are following directions. I thank you for making sure that they are in the classroom too. Make sure they come to our meeting at 10:30 am. 

 I will send out the picture video/s for our class today. They look adorable. I will also send out the “Class Tootle”.

  Make sure your children turn in all of their assignments by 10PM. They will not receive full credit if they don’t complete all of the assignments. Some assignments are still not being handed in.  If they aren’t, they will not receive any credit for them. All of the assignments need to be done. 

  If your child is absent, he/she needs to turn in the work when he/she returns. I will also allow your child some time to turn in their assignments.  This could be for a holiday or other reasons.  

  If your child is sick, please let me know, so I will give your child extra time to complete the assignments that he/she missed. I will also inform the nurse if he/she is absent.

Friday: Ice cream Day

Design a shirt or hat with different types of ice cream on it. Wear it for the day. Wear a paper hat that has ice cream on it. This could be made the day before. If you have ice cream pajamas or an ice cream hat, wear them for the day.

Review the video for “Mrs. Piggle Wiggle” for the beginning  of Chapter 4.  Then,
watch the  YouTube video, “What should DANNY do? By Ganit & Adir Levy - Children's Books Read Aloud

”.

 

Put on a bubblegum shirt, hat, pajamas, or anything else. It can be any kind of bubblegum. Sit on a bubblegum towel or blanket. Bring a flashlight. Read for 20 minutes.  Ask Alexa to play, bubble sounds, or use your own device.  This is optional.
              Then, share what you read with one of your parents/guardians. Ask the questions located in 

your “Independent Reading” folder. Use your “Before Reading, During Reading, and After Reading Questions”.  Then, create a beautiful picture of the  beginning  part of “Mrs. Piggle Wiggle Chapter 4” and “ What should Danny do?”.

On the left side of your paper/poster, draw what happened at the beginning  of Chapter 4 in “Mrs. Piggle Wiggle”.  Color this in. On the right side of the paper/poster, draw a picture of what you learned in the story called “What should Danny do?”. Color this in. Write a title on the top of each side of the paper. On the bottom of each picture, write three sentences about the story. Example: Write three sentences about the beginning of Chapter 4 in “Mrs. Piggle Wiggle”. In one of the sentences, write down what both stories have in common. Use a ruler to make the sentences straight and neat.  You can write in script if you want to. Then, on the right side, write three sentences about the story “What should Danny do?”. in one of the sentences, write down what both stories have in common. You can use stickers and other items to decorate your work. Be creative. Have fun! You can use any kind of paper to complete this activity. Be neat. You can write in script if you want to. This is an activity that is comparing both fictional and nonfictional texts This is what we are focusing on in reading and writing. Make sure to be creative. Use text evidence. If you didn’t listen to my recording for the beginning  of Chapter 4 for “Mrs. Piggle Wiggle “. Please make sure that you listen to it before you make your picture for the beginning  of Chapter 4 for “Mrs. Piggle Wiggle”. 

This activity needs to be turned in by 10PM today. Have fun! 

Optional:

You can go outside and collect items that might be used in another picture. Glue them onto the picture. Write a title on the top. Write three sentences about some of your favorite parts that you liked in “Mrs. Piggle Wiggle” for Chapter 4. Then, write three sentences that you like about the story called ”What should Danny do?”.
