Welcome
to the Englewood Cliffs School District website. Englewood
Cliffs is located one mile north of the George Washington
Bridge in New Jersey. The school district offers a complete,
quality program of education for all of its children, grades
K-8 in its two schools. A warm, nurturing, child-centered
environment exists at both the North Cliff School and the
Upper School.
Small class sizes, standards-based curriculum and enriched
program offerings encourage students to succeed while affording
them the opportunity to develop needed skills and explore
areas of interest. A well-educated, experienced, student-centered
staff works cooperatively toward developing a positive attitude
and appreciation of the value of meeting with success in school.
The
staff in the Englewood Cliffs School District is committed
to providing all students with a quality educational program
in a safe and caring environment. Our teachers, administrators
and support staff work together to provide an excellent standards-based
and balanced curriculum. The program in our schools includes
successful interventions for all students to experience success.
In
Englewood Cliffs, the school district personnel, parents and
community work together to make our schools great places to
learn. Community service and civic awareness is fostered through
the involvement of our parents in the active Parent-Teacher-Association
(PTA). This organization, through fund raising activities,
sponsors a multitude of student activities, including cultural
arts programs and field trips for each grade level during
the year. They are strong partners with the school district
in providing opportunities for our students. Our recently
established Englewood Cliffs Education Foundation will join
in this partnership with the school district this coming school
year.
We
hope that you will find our official district website informative.
It is designed to provide useful and practical information
about our district’s many programs and services. In
addition, it provides additional web-based resources for parents
and students. |
