I
hope you all had a fine vacation and are looking forward with
enthusiasm to the 2007-08 school year.
We
are starting the new school year with renovations to our physical
facilities and a refinement of our outstanding curriculum.
The Englewood Cliffs School District is considered one of
the highest achieving school districts in Bergen County. The
state test scores this past school year have exceeded past
performances. We are continually analyzing academic areas
to allow for optimal performance of our students. Our success
is the result of two things: motivated students and dedicated
staff members. I believe that the strength of the Englewood
Cliffs Public Schools lies in the collective talents of an
exceptionally well-trained and dedicated staff. It is extremely
important to this administration that our students and teachers
are comfortable and challenged within the school environment.
While
I publicly proclaim the classroom teacher’s role in
the successful schooling of the children, anyone who has worked
in a public school knows that the parents as well as staff
members play a critical part. In Englewood Cliffs, all jobs
and responsibilities are important and each one of us contributes
directly to the welfare of our children.
I
look forward to working with you this school year. Let’s
try to improve on last year’s achievements and successes!
